Sunday sermon by Pastor Rajesh Mathew, 21 April 2024 

Psalm 53:6- Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When God restores the fortunes of his people, let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad.

Deuteronomy 32: 13- 13 The Lord brought them to the heights of the land and fed them the fruit of the fields. He gave them honey from the rocks, bringing oil from the solid rock. 

If salvation comes to Zion, then the situations will change and there will be joy. 

This was the Old Testament disciple’s prayer. Even this morning there is going to be a deep and massive revelation of God’s salvation. Your situation will change. Your difficulties will melt away. You will see God and move in your life and your family. You will go back rejoicing.

The Holy Spirit enlightened this word in me- JESUS IS THE ROCK OF OUR SALVATION. 

• The rock of ages, Jesus Christ. If the presence and salvation of Jesus manifests in your life, your situation will change. Your joy and your breakthrough will overflow. The Holy Spirit will work in you. 

HONEY FROM THE ROCK

• Honey came out of the rock. Rock is a hard place. The difficult places of our lives represent the rock. The Holy Spirit is going to bring out something sweet from the hard situations of your life! Rejoice.

From your hard places, from the tough and terrible places, A sweet experience will flow out for you. 

• Nothing grows from a rock. You can’t do agricultural planting on a rock. There is no possibility there. Nothing can be produced out of that rock. No chance for any result from that place. But from that every place, you will see the experiences of honey and sweetness.

God is going to bring sweet things for you out of the hard places. 

• Things that is putting you down- a court case, a divorce situation, a disease. In a situation that looks impossible for you, something sweet, beautiful and amazing ways of God are being opened up by the Holy Spirit, though there may be no apparent reason why you can believe that something good can come out of it.
• Rock is a situation where there is no light at the end of the tunnel. It is almost like it is going out on forever and ever and ever. I am calling it forth prophetically! God will bring you out of that situation. 
• Some people say it is very difficult. Nothing good will happen. But God is saying I will make something sweet come out.

May you have sweet experiences. 

• Situations that seem to never change- from the very same places honey-like sweet experiences will flow.

In every battle that you face, God will give you a mantle of victory 

• In the Old Testament, there has been an experience of water flowing out of the rock. It is the experience of life flowing in the place of death.
• Honey flowing out of the rock refers to prosperity. God will bring prosperity to the church and not poverty. I receive that blessing. God will not shut prosperity for His children.

Honey is money 

• Oil from the rock- refers to the anointing. That is the mantle. When everything is locked, the anointing comes to break off what is closed and shut. It is the Holy Spirit's power. • Look to Jesus the Rock. Not to your relatives, friends and family but look unto Jesus. From there comes life, wealth, blessing and anointing.
• He is the rock of all ages. Get closer to the Rock and you will taste the honey. Get closer to the Rock! Sweet experiences will flow from your impossible situations.

Sweetness is going to come out of life like never before. 

This is the same verse in Psalms 81:16- if honey comes there is satisfaction.

• Many people do not have contentment or satisfaction. You will find that in the honey of God.

One man went to the Ministry of Crab to eat with friends and when the bill came it was 10 lakh rupees. The cost is not an issue here. The price wasn’t a concern. He was more concerned about satisfaction.

No matter what the cost of the thing or aspect that brings you contentment, God will do it for you! 

• God knows what will bring you contentment. God know what He needs to fill you with that will satisfy you. He will bring forth a sweetness that will satisfy you.

Psalm 91: With long life, He will satisfy you.

• God will make you live as many years as you need to be satisfied. 100 or 110 or 120. With a long life, He will satisfy you.
• My life is only starting- all of you who have completed 50, declare that! Those who have completed 70, say- my life is only starting! 

Stay close to the Rock of Jesus. If he clings to me I will save Him, sayeth the Lord.

• Isaac was born to Abraham only at the age of 100! Health, strength, and victory belong to the children of God. I declare and decree over your life. Lift your voice unto Jesus now.

Never forget that if you hold onto the rock of Jesus, there is joy in your life. 

I realised I was miserable inside as a young man, and I remember uncle Jose asking me if I wanted to be saved, and I said yes and he prayed for me. That day I was set free. The Holy Spirit began to move and even after 32 years, that salvation experience remains fresh. He changed my situation and my life. 

• Salvation a person and that is Jesus our Lord. You know what came inside? Life came inside. I know the value of salvation.

Jonah 2:9- But I, with shouts of grateful praise, will sacrifice to you. What I have vowed I will make good. I will say, ‘Salvation comes from the Lord.’” 

• Salvation doesn't come from the church or people. It comes from the Lord and not from any institution. It comes to those who are in the depths of darkness. Revivals will break forth through some of you. Cities and towns will be swept by the salvation of Jesus. 

Luke 2:28-31- Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying: “Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you may now dismiss[a] your servant in peace. 30 For my eyes have seen your salvation, which you have prepared in the sight of all nations: 32 a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel.”

He says I am seeing the salvation of people. In my salvation/ in Jesus, there is light and there is glory! 

• If that’s the case then you won't be put to shame because of yoru salvation. It will give you an increase and lift. 

This salvation will never put you down, it will make you stand with your head held high in the minds of all people. Have you owned this salvation? In this salvation, there is glory! 

• Are you like rubber? Then you will bend before anything, you will melt in any fire. May you not have a rubbery backbone but a grace-filled backbone. Will willstand. There is light and glory and also joy in this salvation.
• Don’t leave this place without understanding this. If you have come genuinely before the presence of God, your situation will change.
• Your decision to take baptism is not for your worst. There is a value and blessing associated with this salvation.

You need to celebrate this salvation. 

• If you have just missed the bite of a dog, won’t you be happy? Some of you don’t have even that joy in you. If you see someone who loves their salvation, it will reflect on their face. The big salvation in Christ. 
• There was salvation that came into the house of Zacheus. Jesus came there. Zacheus was a very wealthy man but in Luke 18 we see that there was another rich ruler who did not experience salvation. He asked Jesus what he needed to do. He had enough wealth to buy whatever he wanted– cars, flats, travels etc. But God told him to leave everything and follow after God. When that was asked of him, he was sad and he walked away because he couldn’t do it.

When I decided to follow after Jesus and serve him full-time. I told my parents. They were silent. Some person from my family told me – “you can afford to make this decision only because you are raised by your family with a silver spoon”. This pricked me. I spent a few days in prayer before the presence of God and then I went and told my Parents, I don’t want anything from you all any more. If this Jesus is real, He will take care of me. Those days I did not even know many scriptures. All I knew was to call Jesus Jesus Jesus out loud. All I had was a basic mic system and one person to help (who is still with me)! That is enough.

• When Jesus came To Zacheus house, He wanted to give back four times of everything he had wrongly taken. If Jesus steps into your house, your situation will change.

1 John 2:25- 25 And this is what he promised us—eternal life. 

• His promise of Salvation. Visa, new house, and new car are all ok but more importantly His promise over our lives is SALVATION and eternal Life! 

1 John 1:2- 2 The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. 

• John says, life and salvation were manifested through the person of Jesus. The death that came through Adam was replaced by the life of Jesus. The person of Jesus replaced the keys of death with the keys of Life. The life of Jesus to flow through you! If that life flows, disease cannot find any place in your life. This morning let the powers fo death leave. 

Let life reign in you! 

John 3:16- 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 

• God loves us so much. He gives us eternal life. He doesn’t want us to be destroyed. We don’t go down, we don’t go to hell. We walk in eternal life- the life that flows through the Rock of Jesus. The thoughts of death leave your life. 
• God loves us so much. I never came first in anything in my life! But when I saw a verse in the Bible, ‘I am first among sinners”, this gave me joy. I am the first among sinners but God showed me mercy through Jesus, He washed me and made me holy in Him and made me stand with Him. He made me an heir of eternal life.

John 5:39- You study[a] the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me,

• If you are carrying the Bible, this Bible will carry you. You need to carry the Bible despite having the phone Bible. This scripture shows you about Jesus, from Genesis to Revelation! • May life leap out of the scriptures into your heart!! To cling to the Rock is to cling to Jesus. Read the Word life and prosperity comes. May the Holy Spirit that wrote the Scriptures will show you Jesus through the Word.

There is a move of the Holy Spirit here. Oil will flow. The biggest impartation is when you go down on your knees and open the scriptures and say, Lord, I want to know Jesus! From there flows the greatest impartation. 

• Do you read the Bible? Many of you don’t even read the Word preached on Sunday again.

John 6:40- 40 For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.” 

The thing that pleases God is - you look to the Son Jesus, and believe in Him. Honey, oil and water will flow from there.

• When Jesus died on the Cross, there were two robbers next to Him. On top of Jesus’s Cross was engraved the ‘King of the Jews’ and ‘criminals’ was engraved on top of the Cross of the robbers. Upon every head is an inscription. We can’t see it, only others can see it. We are all very interested to see what is written about others. One robber looked at the inscription on top of the other robber and read it. He may have guessed that the same inscription would be upon his head too (since they may have conspired robbery together). But when he looked upon Jesus on the Cross, it read ‘King of the Jews’. Five minutes before dying, he immediately said, ‘I am a criminal, Lord, have mercy on me’ and God said, ‘Today you will be with me in paradise’. The other robber was so near yet so far. All he needed to do was whisper the name of Jesus. But he did not. Let that not be your portion.

Look to Jesus and believe. Nothing is impossible for Him. 

JESUS IS ALL THAT MATTERS. NOBODY ELSE MATTERS. JUST YOU AND JESUS. THIS IS NOT A RELIGION, IT IS A PERSON- IT IS JESUS 

John 6:63- The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit[a] and life. 

• It is the Spirit that gives us life. The prophet was taken by the Holy Spirit into the valley of dry bones. He had to walk around the bones and the Lord asked him, will these bones live? He said, Lord, I don’t know but You know. The Lord told him to speak the Word. The bones came together. Let everything that needs to come together in your life come together. Everything that was shapeless took on a shape.

The Lord is going to bring shape to this church 

• Once it took shape, the Lord sent His Spirit to fill it. Sometimes there is the shape, but when the Holy Spirit moves in that situation, only then things change. 

You need to give the Holy Spirit a place and a position in your life.

John 12:15- And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.” 

• His Command is eternal life. The book of Acts 16:31 says if you believe, you and your household will be saved. That day the Jailer and his family were saved. They were baptised. Eternal life is in His command. Those who believe and are baptised will be saved. That is a command. The robber had no hope but there was a command. A lot of people listen to sermons but don’t do what it says.
• This is a message to all the uncles and aunties- if you are listening to me on YouTube, obey the word and get baptised. 

In the Rock of Jesus, there is honey, water and oil (anointing) 

Romans 6:22- 22 But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit [a]to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.

If you are a servant of God, the following things are important (in the same order): 

1. Freedom from sin 
2. Holiness 
3. Eternal life 

• We ought to be free from sin, surrender to become a servant of God, walk in holiness and then we can experience eternal life. You will be caught up in the clouds. • You can’t walk as you wish. Even if the pastor doesn’t see, God sees. • God will remove you from wayward walking and move to the next level in Him, to walk like men and women of God. The Holy Spirit will make you Holy and the end of it is eternal life.

JESUS IS OUR ROCK
