Sunday Sermon by Pastor Rajesh Mathew, 4 June, 2023 

Luke 1:26- 26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The  virgin’s name was Mary. 

Verse 45- 45 Blessed is she who [d]believed, for there will be a fulfilment of those things which were told her from the Lord.”

• The Mystery of the sixth month. Today is the first Sunday of June.
• God has kept divine visitation in the sixth month, not just through your prayers but in unusual ways and unexpected times and places, the Lord and His angels will visit you.

Prophetic: #1The Holy Spirit has prepared an encounter for His children in the sixth month. The Holy Spirit will open up a realm for you that you have never experienced before. Divine visitation, divine experiences. Angels descending with good news for you, you will see this realm opened up. Unseen realms to be opened. May you see the army of the angels. May you experience the miraculous and awesome presence of God through the Holy Spirit.

In the 6th month, the angel visited Mary, in the city of Galilee named Nazareth.

• In Luke 1 we see that the angel had appeared to Zecharias and said to Him that I have brought good news from the Presence of God. There are angels that stand at the door of heaven, on the streets of heaven and those at the outer dimension but Gabriel was in the presence of God. It is right from the presence of God that the angel brought the news! 

#2 You may have seen things in the past but this sixth month, God is opening a realm where you will hear Good news for yourself, and your family. If you believe it, receive it.

• Angels have different levels too. Cherubims and Seraphims (you can find it in Colossians and Ephesians 1). Archangels are a level lower. Here Gabriel is coming as the angel of God with a message.

The 6th day is when God created man and gave him authority.

• He made men in His image and likeness. Your new man needsto know that you are a new creation, born again child of God, a child of God who has received Jesus and you have been given dominion over all that God created. 
• You need to exercise your dominion as a new creation. God wants to bring you into a special grace to be able to command those things that are not as though they are, to pull out, to build up, to call forth, to uproot and to plant. God is releasing a grace to do so. There is a move of the Holy Spirit. Take it and may the Holy Spirit impact something into your Spirit. 

#3 In the sixth month, God will give you a new language - the language of authority, to speak to demons and diseases to be cast out, to uproot mountains and to command fig trees to dry up. 

• New creation has a new language. The language of authority. speak to your diseases in your body to leave you in Jesus Name. Call forth your blessing in Jesus name. Ask the devil to leave your lives. Speak a new language in Jesus Name.

The 6th book in the Bible is the Book of Joshua.

• God commands Joshua to take possession of the promises for the children of God. There are giants, there are mountains, but God is saying to Joshua, ‘Don’t be afraid, be of good courage, the place where your foot treads I will give you that land. You will impart unto them the promise’. 

#4 This is a month where you will take possession of both spiritual and material and financial promises. If you possess it spiritually, you will possess it physically.

• The mystery of the 6th month, I will enter into the promised land and take my inheritance. My children will experience the inheritance. Whatever bondage is binding it, I take authority over it. You will begin to experience what God has given you.

One kid told her father, ‘I saw a dream of you reading a newspaper in heaven. Then I realised that this is a dream as it would impossible for you to go there considering your character! (laughs)

• But God has given you certain blessings that are your inheritance, for sure. It may seem like a far fetched unreal dream to obtain those, but God can make it a reality. You will experience it! The Lord will make your legs like those of a wild goat to tread upon the mountains and take possession. • That marriage will happen. The same proposal that never worked out will work out for you! 

Ezekiel 8:1-6-1-4In the sixth year, in the sixth month and the fifth day, while I was sitting at home meeting with the leaders of Judah, it happened that the hand of my Master, GOD, gripped me. When I looked, I was astonished. What I saw looked like a man—from the waist down like fire and from the waist up like highly burnished bronze. He reached out what looked like a hand and grabbed me by the hair. The Spirit swept me high in the air and carried me in visions of God to Jerusalem, to the entrance of the north gate of the Temple’s inside court where the image of the sex goddess that makes God so angry had been set up. Right before me was the Glory of the God of Israel, exactly like the vision I had seen out on the plain. 5He said to me, “Son of man, look north.” I looked north and saw it: Just north of the entrance loomed the altar of the sex goddess, Asherah, that makes God so angry. 6 Then he said, “Son of man, do you see what they’re doing? Outrageous obscenities! And doing them right here! It’s enough to drive me right out of my own Temple. But you’re going to see worse yet.”

In the sixth month the Lord’s hand came upon Ezekiel. And took him to the temple.

• The hand of the Lord came upon me. I saw something. When the Lord’s hand comes upon you, you begin to see things.
• In the sixth month the Lord’s hand came upon Ezekiel and took him to the temple. What for? For the uncovering and unveiling of whatever was happening- basically to get to the root of the problem. Things were going on in the temple of God that shouldn’t be happening. The glory of the temple had left.
• There is a glory that is allotted to you by God. That glory must be revealed through your ministry, your life, your business, and your family but something is going wrong. Somebody may be doing something against you or there must be some other reason. 

#5 The Holy Spirit will show the root causes of the problems that you are facing this sixth month. 

• What is the root cause of the disease, depression, or lack of joy in your family life? The Holy Spirit will show you the root causes and will help you take authority over it, this sixth month. Certain things will be revealed. Is it a man or a demon that is causing the problem? The Holy Spirit will show you. 
• In the next season, God will expose the demons that are the root cause of some of your problems. Even while this ministry is going on, certain demons will manifest and be cast out. The spirit behind that addiction to come out in Jesus’ Name! The Spirit behind that headache, out in Jesus’ Name! 
• The Bible is a very unusual book. In the Bible, even the stones praise God; by faith, even the walls fall down; by faith the mouths of lions can be shut; even those that go through fire, don’t burn. The money needed to pay taxes can be found in the fish’s mouth; the burning bushes don’t get consumed, the axe head floats on water, even the donkey speaks. The Bible is not an ordinary book. It is unusual. 
• The Lord is going to do some unusual things amidst you. Move along with the Holy Spirit and get ready to step out with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will show you the root causes in the spirit realm.

This is not some biblical theology, I am speaking this from my personal experience. What follows the preaching from my personal experience is an impartation. The Holy spirit will take you out from that place where there is a battle and show you.

• The angel came down to meet Ezekiel. Today’s believers are happy with the predictable things usual worship, usual word and some offering and some clapping and go back home. 

#6 The mystery of the sixth month, there will be an unveiling of your glory, an unveiling of the devil’s work.

• The Lord will bring forth a supernatural deliverance in your life. God will do an amazing work. Surrender to the Holy Spirit.

In the sixth month start thinking about building God’ house

Haggai 1:1-2- 1 In the second year of King Darius, in the sixth month, on the first day of the month, the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying, 2 “Thus speaks the Lord of hosts, saying: ‘This people says, “The time has not come, the time that the Lord’s house should be built.” ’ ” 4 “Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this [a]temple to lie in ruins?” 5 Now therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider your ways! 6 “You have sown much, and bring in little; You eat, but do not have enough; You drink, but you are not filled with drink; You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; And he who earns wages, Earns wages to put into a bag with holes.” 11 For I called for a drought on the land and the mountains, on the grain and the new wine and the oil, on whatever the ground brings forth, on men and livestock, and on all the labor of your hands.” 12 Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him; and the people feared the presence of the LORD.

#7 The sixth month is the month of returning to God. The month of turning back to God and the month of rededicating yourself to serve the Lord.

• We see in the scripture from the book of Haggai that the people of God were working, they were earning wages but they did not know where it all was going. They were all only busy thinking about building their homes. But if you think like that you will not see the blessing in your home. But think first about building the house of the Lord and if you work for it, God will take care of building your house. You may not see victories, if you are only busy with your house. Think about what you  can do for the House of God. 

Years ago a man of God said to me, you build GOD’s house and God will build your house. He will build your children, your health, your finances. If you only think about your life, then you will miss  out on what God wants to do. 

Prophetic: God is taking this church to the next stage. Are you happy about it? Can you rejoice in the Lord? Lord, let your house be built! Establish your church Lord. They gave themselves to the work of the Lord.

• In the Jewish tradition, the sixth day is a day of preparing for their rest/sabbath. On the 6th day they prepare and rested for the 7th day. The Holy Spirit said, that this month is a month to prepare for the 7th month. There will be a rest and peace and shalom, emotionally, materially, in your family life, in your spirit, you will enjoy divine rest. Have you surrendered to the Lord? The Spirit of God will pour this forth on you this month- Godly rest and peace all around.

#8 The 6th month is a month of divine rest and Shalom of God • There is no peace in many homes. Where else will you go if there is no peace at home? Surrenderyour homes to the Lord. May shalom, wholeness and peace fill your homes. Just sit at peace and with wholeness at the feet of Jesus.

• May the Lord make you whole. The Holy Spirit will release His rest into you more than anything else. Certain battles will end! Especially those in your mind. That will be over! Take it prophetically and experience it. 

This is your last battle! Hallelujah! That’s why you will begin to experience a deep shalom and peace. Praise be to God. 

#9 The 6th month is a month of Miracles and mysterious happenings 

• The Bible talks about mysterious happeningsin Luke 1. The angels ascended and descended. There were angelic visitations happening too. The Angels tell Mary that there will be a birth happening inside you. He shall be called Jesus and of His kingdom there shall be no end.
• “How will this happen?” asked Mary. The angel responds, “The Power of the Holy Spirit will come upon you.” Certain things that you thought will never work will work by the Power of the Holy Spirit. There is going to be an empowerment by the Holy Spirit. The Power of the HOLY Spirit will descend upon me!
• The angel spoke to Zechariah and said your wife Elizabeth will be with child. Mary runs to her when she is 6 months pregnant. Again, a reference to 6 months.
• This baby was a pending blessing to Elizabeth. It is like filling your arrears. So many years of unanswered prayers, despite which they continued believing, serving and worshipping and serving God in the temple. And God blessed them with arrears! Certain pending things came forth together in the form pf John the Baptist, the one who prepared the way of the Lord!
• The Holy Spirit is saying that God is going to give certain things into your hands- certain things lying pending. John the Baptist is coming into your life. He will open ways for the Lord.• There is a generation that will prepare the way of the Lord. Are you a part pf that? are you going to prepare the way for the second coming of the Lord. Blessed be the Name of Jesus.

#10 In the 6th month, you will receive grace. 

• Mary received GRACE in the sight of the Lord. Whatever you need to become, you become by grace. Where there is grace, there is holiness, there is a blessing, and there is solution. When there is grace, you will be called blessed among all nations. If you have received grace, you will be blessed in the midst of those that dishonoured you, your shame will be removed and you will  be publicly honoured and blessed. Certain good things will come your way by grace. 

What is the KEY? 

1. BELIEVE 

Luke 1:45- 5 Blessed is she who [h]believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which  were told her from the Lord.” 

• Blessed is the she who believed. Believe. Have faith! If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can command this mountain to be uprooted. 

Luke 17:5-6- 5 And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.” 6 So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be  planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you 

Disciples asked Jesus to increase their faith. If you have a faith as small as a mustard seed, the mountain can be uprooted in the sea. Just tiny faith. Let the faith increase.

1. The Mustard seed has several health benefits. As a child I used to take them out of my food. But later I realised that there are many heath benefits of the mustard seed.
2. It needs to fall to the ground. In Mark 4:31, we see that the kingdom of God is likened to a mustard seed. 31 It is like a mustard seed which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than all the seeds on earth;

✓ The mustard seed needs to fall on the ground. It needs to get out of the comfort one. ✓ You need to increase the faith. God doesn’t increase your faith. Youneed to increase your faith! That is what we learn from the mustard seed. It can’t sit inside a container in the shelf. It needs to get out of that comfortable place and fall on the ground, fall into something for it to be used.

✓ If you are ready to fall out of your comfort zone to be used, the mystery of the sixth month will be revealed in your life.

✓ Faith has action. Faith is not be just spoke of, it is works. You need to fall on the ground. ✓ Joseph was his father’s beloved son. The was thrown done, his clothes were torn. He lost all his respect, he was sold as a slave. His value came down. But that was the begin of is faith journey. Until then he was comfortable in his father’s house. 

✓ Mary could have been ashamed at the news she heard about herself, but she knew that it was the Lord and she was ready to fall on the ground. If you are ready to fall to the ground, God’s wok will be revealed through your life.

✓ Look at all the people in the Bible who all saw the mysterious works of God. These were people out of their comfort zones. Daniel fell into the lion’s den, but even there he shut the lion’s mouth by faith. His three friends fell into the fire, they came out by faith. You need to come out of your comfort zone and fall down. That is the sign that you have faith. God will fulfil what He has spoken in your life.

If this mustard seed falls, it becomes a big tree.

✓ Where do you fall? Fall by the waters or fall next to the word. You need to let your roots down into the Word.

✓ Psalm 1: 3 says He shall be like a tree planted by the [c]rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.

✓ The Chinese bamboo shows no growth on the outside for 5 years. But during this time, it keeps letting its roots down. Mustard seed is a life of faith. The Kingdom of God is by faith. Blessed is he who knows the Lord, they will let their roots down by the waters, by the Word. When the Word is expounded and taught your roots go down. You need to be planted in a church where the Word is expounded. Sit in places where the Holy Spirit is given honour, where the Holy Spirit is given place and valued. If so, though your seed may be buried and unseen, showing no growth, it will still spring forth! During the 5-year period, the roots of the Chinese bamboo goes down 90 meters deep. You may be just a seed in the spirit. But suddenly the calling will manifest, the season for your blessing to manifest is at hand.

1. This mustard seed is always together with the others. One of it needs to separate for fruitfulness.

✓ The mustard seed is taken out from the company and then put to use.

✓ Comfort zones don’t trigger any faith. It is lonely places that trigger faith. If you are alone and everyone has left you, remember that for the mustard seed to come out and grow in faith, it must go through a period of seclusion/aloneness.

You may feel that God is setting you alone. But then remember that God is going to  bring out something explosive. It is a season where God is allowing that to happen! 

• David was alone, having no favour with his brethren or his parents. This type of scenario will make the faith inside you grow greatly. Hold on tightly to the prophecy and the Promise. God will reveal it beyond what you imagined.

Paul also said in 2 Timothy 4- At my first defence nobody came to my help. I was left alone, BUT  the Lord stood with me.

• When you are alone, your faith will be revealed! You have many friends on Facebook. Will they show up with you are in trouble? The likes and friends are on social media but in your aloneness your faith will be triggered and it will show forth. Glory to God! When you are alone, you will pray.
• Many of us pray only for people to hear. When you are alone, it is Jesus and you, not to show anybody. You and Jesus and the relationship you share is the most important. There is whatmysterious happening of the 6th month will be revealed. That is where you will see God’s supernatural manifestations. 
• Whatever God has spoken to me, he will do. The revelation and understanding I have from His word will help me. It is nobody else, it is Jesus and Me. I am ready to increase my faith, I am ready to act upon my faith. I will seek your kingdom and your righteousness. The mysterious happenings of the 6th month should be revealed in my life.
