Sunday Sermon by Pastor Rajesh Mathew, 20 July 2025

Psalms 118:24-25- "This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. Save now, I pray, O Lord; O Lord, I pray, send now prosperity." 

• Save nowI beseech thee of Lord. Send nowa prosperity. 
• There is a later prosperity, there is a now prosperity. There is a later salvation and there is a now salvation. Send now Lord. Not next year but now Lord!
• Not healing for later but now healing. Now a miracle. Now a deliverance. A Now anointing! The Power of the Holy Spirit will accomplish some things for you NOW! Don’t put it off for another day. The Lord is healing those with an asthma problem.

God is releasing a NOW anointing 

3 John 2- Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth 

• That you may prosper in allthings just as your soul prospers. Prosperity not in some things but in ALL things. Be in health even as your soul prospers.
• You prospering in ALL things is a promise in HIS Word. Receive that blessing over your life. 
• God is delivering many in the area of your health- your sicknesses will leave and burn away in the fire of the Holy Spirit.
• God's apostle is praying- that you may prosper in all things and be in health as your soul prospers.

The soul’s prosperity precedes every other prosperity. Without your soul prospering, other things cannot prosper. The prosperity of all other areas is in proportion to the prosperity of your soul. 

• The house of those not-so-prosperous will have large TVs and in the homes of those who have prospered, you will find a huge library—they are building their souls, they are reading, they are reflecting, learning and growing.
• If you would allow the Word of God to be sown into your hearts like a seed and allowed to grow and flourish in your life, your soul will begin to prosper. God's needs your soul. 

Bakht Singh, a sardar and an anointed man of God. He was studying in England for Engineering. He heard about Jesus and got saved. He told God that I will become wealthy and give money for the Gospel and Kingdom work. Jesus said to Bakht Singh, ‘I want you and not your money’. He responded to God and said, ‘Take me, Lord, my soul belongs to you.’ He won many souls from the Sikh community for Jesus. Even today many churches 80 -90 across the world are still active. Because He gave his soul to Jesus. 

Give yourself to Jesus, surrender your soul to Jesus.

• What if you gain the whole world and lose your soul, what profit there is in it? 
• Lifting up your hands in worship, praising God and singing to him is all good but it should all come from you’re the love for God in your heart. It should flow from your honour, worship and love in your soul for Jesus.
• Your family, your health and finances will prosper if your soul is given to the Lord.

This letter (3 John) is written to a person called Gauis. There are some qualities of this person listed: 

3John 3,4- 3 For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. 4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in [a]truth. 

1. He was walking in the truth of God's Word. His soul was walking in the truth. Jesus says that He is the truth, the way and life. If you walk in the Holy Spirit you are walking in the Spirit of truth. If you do, you will prosper in ALL things.

Verse 5- 5 Beloved, you do faithfully whatever you do for the brethren [a]and for strangers, 

2. He had a heart for hospitality 

We take many scriptures out of context and quote it. The most quoted verse is John 3:16, the golden verse in the Bible – For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son to die for us on the cross that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. The second most quoted scripture is Philippians 4:19-19 And my God shallsupply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

• In Philippians 4, Paul is speaking about giving and receiving. When you give to God and His kingdom, then God blesses you, He gives you.. 
• The other thing that God says in this scripture is do not be worried about anything but in all things with thanksgiving and supplication. 
• There is NOW blessing coming over your life. It could be a deliverance, a healing, a miracle will come over your life.

George Muller was an anointed man of God. When you go to his house in England you can still see his prayer journal- a book of the 10,000 prayers he prayed. When George Muller prayed, he would number every request and add details like for whom, for what, date of prayer, date that the answer to His prayer was received. There are 10000 prayers he prayed. Except 3 prayers all others were answered. DL Moody and Charles Spurgeon were inspired by George Muller. He was not a preacher but a man of prayer. When they asked why He did not get answers to those 3 prayers, he replied, ‘I know whom I have prayed to and God knows who has prayed to Him’. A few days after George Muller died, even those three prayers were answered! 

• Don't tell me prayer doesn’t work. If you pray by faith, in the name of Jesus and according to God’s Word, your answers will come. 
• Psalmist says, I pray now Lord that you send now prosperity. Do not be weary of praying.

What is the meaning of NOW? 

• at the present moment of time without any further delay indicating a present moment.
• Now has a before and after

Romans 6:22- 22 But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit [a]to holiness, and the end, everlasting life. 

• But nowhaving been set free from sin. Addictions are broken now. There is a Faith for now. I have become a slave of God having been set free form sin. Unto the fruit of holiness. You are living in the present- that is Now!

Hebrews 9:26- 26 He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. 

• The nowof perfect sacrifice. BY that one sacrifice, He has put away sin on the Cross of Calvary, By His stripes I have healing and health, the punishment that was to come to me was taken by Jesus and through that one sacrifice of Jesus I am made free from sin. 

Romans 15:13- 3 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. 

• May the God of hope fill you. Now has a filling up. When you are filled, there is a peace and joy and serenity. One version says may God gives you serenity- That means the absence of mental stress and anxiety. There is a calmness and peace in the filling of His Spirit and his presence. Now prosperity breaks every mental stress. Leave it unto God.

Walk in the Present. Walk in the grace for today. When you come to the bridge you will cross it because God will be with you. Don’t worry thinking about the future.

• Have all kind of hope in believing that God is faithful. The man of God spoke to the widow and said the flour in my bin will never cease. 3 and half years of famine, the flour in the bin never ended. 
• Every day may the Lord provide for you. Everyday may the fruit of your land fill you and bless you. 
• Elijah was a man of prayer. The Bible talks about the Spirit of Elijah. It si the spirit that prays, that walks in Miracles.
• The crow came everyday to him with meat. We need not take an anxiety tablet wondering if the crow will come the next day. May you get off those anxiety pills. May you have confidence that God is able to take care of you every day.
• Calling fire down on Mount Carmel one fine morning was not a sudden thing. It is because he had a daily experience of God. so much so that he had so much confidence in God based on his daily experience he had been having with God. It’s not a dramatic 

sudden moment. Its Series of now moments that have shaped your life, moments that keep showing you that the Lord is involved in your life.

• Pastor PG Varghese talks about how the Lord even replaced the broken button on his shirt before a ministry.

What is your issue? Believe God. 

• There is a faith exercise. You need to carry out that faith exercise. People come and tell me that pastor, your faith is so great. It is not that my faith is great, the Lord I serve is great. I know who I serve. I know my God. 
• It’s asking him for little and big things over years of, from shirts to shoes to tuition fees for me and others who come to me for prayer. Every day I learnt to exercise my faith, I saw God work smallest things to big things.

The Lord of hope fill you with all joy in believing. 

Now! Live in the present. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. I was in north India for ministry, I was so unwell that I couldn’t get out of the bed. I did not have money in my pocket to buy medicines. My hosts took me to the doctor. I hesitated to go because I did not have money o give him. Anyway, I still was taken to a doctor. I offered him my watch in return for his series and the doctor refused to take it saying ‘no no, you are a man of God. Just bless me’. I went back to the room and prayed and told the Lord and I said I can’t do this Lord, I am too sick. I saw Jesus come into my room and touch me. Next morning, I was fresh and totally healed! Have you exercised your faith? 

LIVE IN THE PRESENT 

• Don't give your children everything. Teach them to trust in God for a miracle. Ask them to ask Jesus. Teach them to depend on God. Teach them to apply their faith. You will see miracles in it.
• Elijah practiced seeing miracles. One prayer on Mount Carmel brought the fire down. He was used to praying. And the fire came down. He was a man of God with a spine. He was all alone, in front of kinds of black magicians and prophets but he stood alone in the name of God and God started doing miracles at a different scale. An entire nation turned towards Jesus. 
• Through you, your entire family. People tell me, it’s been 10 years and my husband or my children haven’t come to the Lord. If a land of the prophets of Baal could turn to Jesus. Through you God can save anybody in your family. If you carry the Holy Spirit, prove to yourself that God answers prayers. We don’t have that hunger or the desire.

Daily miracles will lead you to a huge miracle. 

Now may the God of hope fill you with all hope in believing. If you want to eat an elephant, start with a small bit. A person asked where should I start? The pastor said start with the tail. Take small faith bites.

Get your breakthrough.

1 John 3:2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed whatwe shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall seeHim as He is.

• Now, you are a child of God. Be sure of your sonship. 

Hebrews 11:1- 11 Now faith is the [a]substance of things hoped for, the [b]evidence ofthings not seen.

• Nowfaith is...live in the present. Now God is able to fill you with peace. Yes, Lord may it be so. Have faith now that God is able to calm your storm and send his answers to your problem.

2 Corinthians 6:2- For He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. 

• Nowis the day of salvation and your favourable time. That power of past and future that is stopping you from enjoying your present be broken off your life. Walk in the present. Live in the present. Don’t allow your past of thoughts of the future control; you.

Jude 1:24- Now to Him who is able to keep [a]you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, 

• Nowhe will keep you from stumbling and present you before the Father. Receive that blessing, grace and anointing of the now. be secure in this truth

2 Timothy 3:8-8 Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith;

• They were stubborn, they were resisting Moses.
• May this become an experience in your life.
