Sunday sermon by Pastor Rajesh Mathew, 2 Feb 2025 

Colossians 4: 2- 2 Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving; The Holy Spirit said this about February- Your expectations will bring manifestations. • Some will be physical manifestations. 

Luke 1:57- When the time came for her to delivered she brought forth a son. 

• It's time for the deliveries of some people. The miracles blessings and deliverance that you have been expecting will begin to manifest. These are the months that will move you into manifestation. Your expectations will become manifestations for the glory of God 

What you have been carrying in prayer will be in your hands. 

• What you thought was impossible, God will do for you. You may be thinking you are old; the years have gone by. But in the midst of its manifestation will occur. The holy spirit is saying this to you.
• The things you are carrying in prayer are important to God. 

TWO things are important in prayer: Consistency of prayer and intensity of Prayer. 

• Some pray during 21 days of fasting in Prayer and don’t pray at all after that. Some of you pray once in many days for 7-8 hours and then disappear. That’s not what I am talking about. Then there are some of you who daily spend time with God- 30 minutes or 1 hour but you do it consistently and intensely. 

Consistency and intensity in prayer will make you unstoppable. 

• Today you have to receive in your spirit the things that God has kept for you. God will open newer realms in your prayer life. God will release the grace you need to be consistent in your prayer life.
• The thoughts that tell you that there is no use in praying are from the devil. That's the devil telling you. The prayers of people who have such thoughts actually are meant to bring mighty breakthroughs. That’s why the devil stops you. This is an old trick of the devil – to make you doubt your own prayers and make you feel that God never hears you.

1. When you pray consistently and intensely, the angels of God will align you to God's blessing.

Genesis 24:12- 12 Then he prayed, “Lord, God of my master Abraham, make me successful today, and show kindness to my master Abraham. 

IN KJV it says- 12 And he said, “O Lord God of my master Abraham, I pray Thee, send me good speed this day, and show kindness unto my master Abraham. 

• Please give me good speed. He was praying for a brie for Isaac, his master’s son. He is saying good speed or God speed. That means he is actually praying help me to be in the right place, 

at the right time at the right opportunity. As soon as he prayed, the family of the same girl came to that well. 

• What are you praying for? The angels of God will align you with that prayer. Let it happen according to your Will and in God speed.
• Angels of God and His hand and His Holy Spirit, the Hand of God will align you with His promise in response to your prayer at the right time. This is the month for that.
• There was no Google map, no social media, no matrimony.com but there was prayer. But if there is prayer within you, God's blessing will find you and you will be aligned with God's blessings by the angels of God 

God's angels will locate you and connect you where you need to be connected. 

An opportunity lost is not lost forever in the kingdom of God. If you pray, what opportunities you thought you lost will find you and come back to you. 

2. When you pray consistently, your spiritual atmosphere is supernaturally charged

• The atmosphere around a person who prays is supernaturally charged. Those who pray genuinely with all their heart and pray in tongues, their business, family, work atmosphere will be charged. I am not talking about those who pray Maggi noodle 2-minute prayers.
• Some people sit in God's presence and you feel a heat, a warmth, a feeling of like an electric current come on you. These are physical manifestations. You may feel your body shaking and it may scare you.

Stay in that zone of prayer. When you do that your spirit becomes weightier • When you are in the presence of God your body will feel the radiance of it. 

Psalm 42:7- 7 Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of Thy waterspouts; all Thy waves and Thy billows have gone over me. 

• I can feel this in my body. Your waves and billows have gone over me. When I pray before a ministry and feel an electric power �� and charge in me from GOD’s presence, I know the Holy Spirit is flowing and I know the person I am praying for will be healed. I then look for demons to cast out.

This season you will experience it in your body as you pray a manifestation of His presence. 

Habakkuk 3:14- 

• When you pray you will feel GOD’s heat come upon you. When I came to the Lord and I used to listen to my spiritual father preach, my heart literally used to burn and my fellow believers used to touch my chest to feel the heat!! 
• When Jesus spoke to his disciples, their hearts burnt the Word says. 
• I was not sure what to do when that heat of God’s presence used to come upon me. But later I learnt that this is the time that you need to make declarations in the spirit.

Psalms 39:3- 3 My heart was hot within me; while I was musing, the fire burned. Then I spoke with my tongue: 

• When you open your mouth when God's presence comes upon you, what you declare at that time, that will happen. 
• What you declare in that time will come to pass. God's angelic hosts will align you to God’s blessing. 

3. When you pray, your will shall be strengthened by God. 

• Angels come to help but it's the Holy Spirit who makes them do it. Angels function at the command of the Holy Spirit. 

Luke 22: 43- 43 And there appeared an angel unto Him from Heaven, strengthening Him. • Jesus prayed in the garden of Gethsemane as usual. Jesus was used to doing this. This was the night when He was betrayed. He prayed intensely and his sweat drops were like blood. He prayed “Not my will but yours be done.” An angel came and strengthened Him at that time. 

• With Him were 3 disciples- Peter, James and John. Jesus tells them stay awake and pray for the hour is at hand and not to fall into temptation. If they also had prayed the angels would have come and strengthened them as well…but they slept.

You need prayer to be victorious in temptations. 

• You rise above temptations when you grow in prayer.

Luke 22:44 And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly, and His sweat was, as it were, great drops of blood falling down to the ground. 45 And when He rose up from prayer and had come to His disciples, He found them sleeping for sorrow. 

• After this Jesus prayed MORE earnestly, the Word says. He continued to labour in prayer. There are people who pray and they get distracted very fast. They get busy. They get up and go. Some body calls them on their phone or the doorbell rings etc.
• When you pray and God begins to strengthen you, your prayer will become more earnest. Such are the people who become prayer warriors. You start with 2 hours and feel strengthened to stay through the night in prayer. 

4. When you pray, your go from strength unto strength. 

Psalms 84:7- 7 They go from strength to strength; every one of them in Zion appeareth before God. 

• Consistency in prayer will take you from strength unto strength. May today be the weakest day of your life. May you climb higher and higher from this day forth.

5. When you pray, your discernment will open up 

• When you pray consistently, discernment will open up in the Holy spirit. The level of your spiritual revelation will elevate.

Your spiritual antenna will be sharp and sensitive. Discernment. 

Acts 10:9- 9 On the morrow, as they went on their journey and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour. 10 And he became very hungry and would have eaten; but while they were making ready he fell into a trance, 11 and saw heaven opened and a certain vessel descending unto him as though it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners and let down to the earth.

• Peter was hungry but since his lunch was delayed, he considered not wasting that time and went ahead to go and pray.

Luke 5:16- Jesus would withdraw Himself often to pray.

• When you are a Child of God you need to learn to just withdraw.

Time and again you have to learn the principle of withdrawal. 

• Jesus was used to this. He used to withdraw himself to go be in prayer and commune with the Father. You need to learn to withdraw too. You may be at a party and there may be noise all around, you would want to just quietly withdraw and pray without telling anybody.
• I do that. You can ask my wife and children. I do that even when I play with the kids. This was a habit of Jesus.
• When the food was being delayed, Peter went to pray in that break. When he prayed he saw visions. He was in a trance. You are in the spirit.

God will show you what He wants to when you are in the spirit.

Consistency will always attract spirits.

When u consistently lie, a lying spirit will take over your life. Anything you do consistently and continuously you will attract things in the spirit realm 

When u pray consistently and continuously, you attract a spirit of supplication and prayer. 

Zechariah 12: 10- 10 “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit[a] of grace and supplication. They will look on[b] me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son. 

• The Holy Spirit takes over. Let the power of every negative spirits be broken. You may attract spirits to continuous and repeated indulgence in certain actions. Like watching porn or watching negative things.
• Divine deliverance upon your life. I break the hold of every negative spirit, every evil and unclean spirit.

Hebrews 5:7- 7 During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. 

When Jesus was in the flesh, He continuously gave Himself to prayer and supplication. 

• If Jesus, the Son of God and the Third person of the Trinity had to pray so much, how much more you and me.
• Without praying you can't walk in blessing, honour and miracles. If you think you can that's the first lie of the enemy. His deception.
• Jesus shed his tears before God. In your life on earth Prayer is a must. In heaven you don’t need to pray, because we are not in this body in heaven. We are glorified bodies in heaven and you only need to worship God.
• Jesus prayed the whole night. There are people who watch movies for the whole night, drink alcohol the whole night.

Luke 6:12-13 - 12 One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. 13 When morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them, whom he also designated apostles: 

Jesus prayed the whole night and when He came in the morning, He chose the 12 disciples.

Get into the practice of praying before any important decisions, before important business meetings, exams and big projects 

• Jesus picked all 12 disciples one by one. Even Judas was a part of the plan. That’s where God’s redemptive work began. 
• Many come to me to ask without praying themselves. Who to marry, Johnny or Marky? where to work- Dubai or Angamaly? Should I study B.Com or BA? 
• If you would pray, your heavenly Father will speak directly to You. Pastor only confirms or supports. You need to pray and decide. 

John 6:15- "When Jesus perceived that they were about to come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone".

• Jesus had fed the multitudes and then the people wanted to make him king. But Jesus set it aside and went to pray by Himself. We would have lingered on and said, if you all wish to make me king, please do. 
• Peter was asking- Is this distribution or contribution? I have never read anywhere in the Bible that disciples also ate when Jesus distributed the food among the multitudes. • It is a Leadership principle- leaders always leave last. 

Jesus spoke to the crowds prayed for them, gave them food, ministered. He was tired. How does he reenergise Himself? He went back to Prayer. 

• Fall in love with prayer. Fall in love with the Presence of God. My body is tired but I will still pray. Don’t go and sleep if you are tired. Sit and pray!

In prayer is my energy and my refreshing. 

• It is the devil's trap to keep you tired. It's a diabolic trap of the enemy. I am going to sit in God's presence. Even if you are tired, you are able to sit and watch a movie, you can make tea and cook dinner for guests, you can straighten up to listen to a gossip from your friend. 
• If you is in God's presence, your youth, strength and energy will come back. The glory of God will take over. 

Luke 9:28-29- 28 About eight days after Jesus said this, he took Peter, John and James with him and went up onto a mountain to pray. 29 As he was praying, the appearance of his face changed, and his clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning 

• Your face can be impacted in prayer. You want to be beautiful? You need Prayer cream. It is a Glory cream. You don’t need to spend any money.
• When you meet God your face will be radiant. Your look will change. Your face will reflect His glory. Some beauty queens are arising in this church. 
• The clothes you wear will shine when you are in prayer. Jesus’s clothes shone in glory. A person who prays will also dress differently.
• We know through the clothes you wear whether you are in prayer or not. When Jesus prayed his clothes shone. 

Fervent prayer generates dynamic power. 

• Why did Jesus go up to the mountain to pray? Why did he take only 3 and not all? You can't take everybody along on your spiritual journey.
• You take along only people who will be add up to your spiritual life. Who will build up your spiritual life and who will be a blessing to you for serving the Lord.

You can alter your life through prayer. 

• We are trying to alter someone else life through our prayer, that is the problem. When we pray, it is our lives that changes. 

Prayer must change you. Prayer will change you. 

• In a family if there are 10 who don’t pray but if there one person praying, that is enough. In the midst of all houses there are barriers for all to come together and pray. If one person in a family will keep the prayer altar burning, God will move upon that. 
• In John 4, we find that the Samaritan woman come to draw water from the well. Jesus started to speak with her. Life began to flow into her. She ran into the town to tell people about Jesus. The disciples came back with food- chicken roll, biryani, parotta and Jesus says- My food is to do my Father's will. That which brings me joy and satisfaction when I do the Father’s will.

Fasting means certain time set aside food and pray. 

• Fasting is essentially to do the father's will. Without doing the Father’s will if you sit for 21 and 90 days of fasting, there is no use. 
• Disciples came and by then the Samaritan woman left. She met the Lord and she couldn't care about her bucket or phone. She left everything and ran to tell people. His love was flowing through her. She was divorced five times. God spoke to her. The Disciples would have judged her. God doesn't judge anybody!
• LGBT community can come into the church and experience the love of God. • Men with spikey hair can come. Jesus Loves you. You can come into the House of God! But people of God may judge you. They may disapprove of you growing your hair long etc. but remember that none of this is a hinderance to come to Jesu! 

Pay attention to one thing when you pray- pray to the Father in Jesus Name. 

That Name has character, authority, and influence. If you come thinking you are somebody great then you won’t get your answer. 

If you ask anything in My Name I will do it for you, says Jesus. 

Don't take the name of Jesus casually. You have to use the Name of Jesus very consciously. The moment you learn to use the Name of Jesus very consciously you get an instant entry into His blessing.
